Collaborative Learning Quality Classification Through Physiological Synchrony Recorded by Wearable Biosensors

نویسندگان

چکیده

Interpersonal physiological synchrony has been consistently found during collaborative tasks. However, few studies have applied to predict learning quality in real classroom. To explore the relationship between interpersonal and activities, this study collected electrodermal activity (EDA) heart rate (HR) naturalistic class sessions compared independent task group discussion task. The students were recruited from a renowned university China. Since each student learn differently not everyone prefers learning, participants sorted into collaboration dyads based on their behaviors before data analysis. result showed that, discussions, high pairs produced significantly higher than low ( p = 0.010). Given equivalent engagement level tasks, difference of was triggered by quality. Building upon result, classification analysis conducted, indicating that EDA can identify different levels (AUC 0.767 0.015).

Multidimensional Circadian Monitoring by Wearable Biosensors in Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is associated with several non-motor symptoms that may precede the diagnosis and constitute a major source of frailty in this population. The digital era in health care has open up new prospects to move forward from the qualitative and subjective scoring for PD with the use of new wearable biosensors that enable frequent quantitative, reliable, repeatable, and multidime...

Learning Pulse: Using Wearable Biosensors and Learning Analytics to Investigate and Predict Learning Success in Self-regulated Learning

The Learning Pulse study aims to explore whether physiological data such as heart rate and step count correlate with learning activity data and whether they are good predictors for learning success during self-regulated learning. To verify this hypothesis an experiment was set up involving eight doctoral students at the Open University of the Netherlands. Through wearable sensors, heart rate an...
